Serving the most vulnerable Catholic communities in Myanmar through faith, education, and charitable outreach.

The mission outreach began through the efforts of the Franciscan Brothers of Peace, under the spiritual leadership of Fr. Seraphim, fbp, in collaboration with the Diocese of Hpa-An in Myanmar and with the generous support and participation of Karen Catholics from the United States and Canada.
Today, these missions are carried out through the collaborative efforts of Catholic lay leaders in North America and Myanmar, working together with spiritual directors and local Catholic communities. Through their shared commitment to faith, service, and charity, they help coordinate and sustain missionary activities that respond to the spiritual, educational, and material needs of Catholic communities in Myanmar.
Rooted in the Catholic faith and inspired by the love of Jesus Christ, the missions seek particularly to support children and young people affected by poverty and displacement.
A central focus of this outreach is supporting Catholic boarding houses that provide children with a safe and nurturing environment while they pursue their education. Alongside food, shelter, and educational opportunities, the children receive encouragement in their Catholic faith through prayer, religious instruction, and participation in the sacramental life of the Church.
Through prayer, charitable contributions, volunteer involvement, and ongoing collaboration, Karen Catholics from the United States and Canada remain connected with their brothers and sisters in Myanmar, strengthening the bonds of faith, charity, and solidarity.
Education is an important part of our missionary outreach. Many children in the communities we serve face significant obstacles to attending school because of poverty and displacement.
By supporting Catholic boarding houses, we help provide children with food, shelter, educational opportunities, and a stable environment in which they can learn and grow.
Alongside their education, children are encouraged to deepen their Catholic faith through prayer, religious instruction, and participation in the sacramental life of the Church, in collaboration with local clergy and Catholic communities.
The mission seeks to provide a safe, stable, and nurturing environment for children and young people who face challenges in accessing education and meeting their basic needs.
Through our Catholic boarding houses in Myanmar, children receive nutritious meals, shelter, daily care, and the support they need to attend school and grow in a loving community.
Dedicated caregivers who live on-site provide daily supervision, guidance, and personal attention, helping ensure the safety, well-being, and healthy development of each child.
Rooted in our Catholic faith and respect for the dignity of every human person, our mission seeks to care for the whole child—physically, emotionally, intellectually, and spiritually—helping each one grow in faith, confidence, and hope for the future.
Our mission is rooted in the belief that caring for those in need is an expression of our Catholic faith.
Working in collaboration with the Diocese of Hpa-An and local Catholic communities, we seek to strengthen the faith of children and families while responding to their spiritual and material needs.
Through the generosity, prayers, and personal involvement of Karen Catholics in North America, we strive to build lasting relationships of faith, charity, and solidarity with Catholic communities in Myanmar.

Our hope is that the children and young people we serve will grow in faith, receive an education, and develop the knowledge, character, and spiritual foundation needed to contribute to their families, the Church, and their communities.
Together, we seek to share the love of Christ through concrete acts of charity, guided by our Catholic faith and a commitment to serving those most in need.
